Spoon Bread Recipe

This is another one of those quick go-to side dishes. It goes well with just about any hearty dish, but I’ve also been known to fix just spoon bread and a few veggie sides for a light dinner. 

Spoon Bread

2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 – 8 oz. can cream style corn
1 cup melted butter
1 – 8 oz. can whole kernel corn
1 – 8 oz. box corn muffin mix

In a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix well. Add salt, pepper, or any other seasonings you may like. Pour into an 8×10 greased pan or casserole dish. Bake for 35 minutes at 350F. You may add shredded cheese, sliced green onion, or diced pimientos on the top.  Serve like corn bread, or spoon it up like a side dish.
