Kicking Grilled Steaks

September 20, 2008 by Free Recipes · Leave a Comment

My husband is the grill master around here and every once in a while we like to grill steaks. When we had some friends over this past weekend, he tried out a new recipe that gave the steaks a little more kick. The garlic and mustard spiced things up nicely and these steaks were a huge hit.

I loved the fact that they didn’t need to marinate ahead of time, since we’re not really all that good about planning ahead for that kind of thing. Hubby just slathered the sauce on the steaks and started grilling.

Since the steaks were the main attraction, I just served a salad and some fresh crusty bread with them. Yum!

Spicy Grilled Steaks

4 boneless beef sirloin steaks or rib eye steaks, 3/4-inch thick
1 tablespoon garlic pepper seasoning
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons fresh chives, snipped

Cover both sides of the steaks well with the garlic pepper seasoning.  Gill uncovered until done to your liking.  In the meantime stir together the sour cream, mustard and chives.  You can add a little extra garlic seasoning to this if you would like.  Be sure to mix well.  Pour over the top of the steaks before serving.
